In a nutshell, Down East Connect links consumers with nearby farmers. We had the task of piecing together a video that explained the process while keeping the message simple. Check it out for yourself and see if you think we achieved the task!

Jonathan Bowen owns and operates JB&L Customs in Wilmington, NC, and we were fortunate enough to shoot elements of the London Taxi restoration, as seen in this video! It took several weeks, waiting for the various stages to be completed.  But worth every minute! We hope you enjoy the video.  Jon is a true pro, you can find out more about him here:

ARAMARK

Posted by: danburke

This was a video edited in less than 17 hours. It was screened at the Florida Aquarium ahead of the ACE National awards ceremony. We shot on two Canon T2I cameras using a glide cam rig and Cineslider. The landscape time-lapse was taken from my balcony, recording stills once every minute on a Ricoh Caplio GX100. I hope you enjoy the video, we had a blast working with the Aramark team!

Featherlite Coaches

It is truly amazing to witness craftsmanship at the Featherlite Coaches level. I was fortunate enough to document elements of the process over several weeks, some of the custom engineered components are simply breathtaking. I hope you enjoy the video, however nothing beats standing inside a finished product.

Social Media

The buzzwords for the 21st century. What started out as just a way to connect people for socializing has become the latest innovation in marketing. These days, if one is not on Facebook one is sure to get some blank stares. Just as often, businesses that aren’t developing their social media are now missing a crucial element to their own marketability. Social media is now exceeding the use of social connecting. Social media now gives businesses the opportunity to connect with a much larger audience on an interactive level.

This is where I come in. As the intern for IMECUS, I have taken charge of all social media. I created a Facebook fanpage and Twitter feed while maintaining the blog through IMECUS. Though it may seem silly, it is absolutely necessary. When job searching, they say network and spread the word to how useful you could be. Don’t businesses do the same thing? Job hunting is selling oneself to companies. Companies are trying to sell themselves to consumers. Social media helps with constantly putting oneself out there.

I am in charge of sustaining IMECUS’ social media. Twitter feeds and Facebook pages are only powerful if they are updated regularly. The worst thing to do is create any account and then don’t maintain it. You can’t grow a plant without giving it sunshine and water. I started the Twitter feed with some messages about the work here, final video products, and connections to the website. We have been posting videos to the Facebook page while I have been updating the blog. Blogs are a great way to give life to a website, remain informative, and maintain of level of entertainment. All three have a way to compliment each other as well.

By using several different social media accounts, I hope to give IMECUS professional exposure. I have been enjoying the social media development and hope that I can learn more from my experience. If you haven’t already visited, check out our Facebook, Twitter, or add our blog to your RSS feed with the links below!

Until next time,
